How to Protect Your Blogger Blog from Spam

Spam is a common problem for all bloggers. It can be annoying and time-consuming to deal with, but there are a number of things you can do to protect your blog from spam.

1. Use a spam blocker

There are a number of spam blockers available for Blogger, both free and paid. These blockers use a variety of techniques to identify and block spam comments, including:
Blacklists: Spam blockers can use blacklists of known spam IP addresses and domains to block spam comments before they reach your blog.
Whitelists: Spam blockers can also use whitelists of approved IP addresses and domains to allow comments from only those sources.
Human verification: Spam blockers can require users to complete a human verification challenge, such as a CAPTCHA, before they can post a comment.

2. Disallow anonymous comments

By default, Blogger allows anonymous users to post comments on your blog. This makes it easy for spammers to post spam comments. To prevent this, you can disable anonymous comments in your blog settings.

3. Approve all comments before they're published

By default, Blogger publishes comments immediately after they're posted. This can be a problem if you get a lot of spam comments. To prevent this, you can change your settings so that all comments are held for approval before they're published.

4. Use a moderation queue

Blogger has a moderation queue where you can review comments before they're published. This is a good way to catch spam comments before they're seen by your readers.

5. Delete spam comments

If you see a spam comment on your blog, you can delete it. To do this, simply click the "Delete" button next to the comment.

6. Report spam comments

If you see a spam comment on your blog, you can report it to Blogger. To do this, click the "Report" button next to the comment.

By following these tips, you can help to protect your Blogger blog from spam.
